Zora Wan
Co-Founder & Tech Finance Expert
Zora has a passion for financial systems. She started her finance journey as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers for three years. Since receiving her MPA with focus in Financial Management from University of Illinois in 2006, Zora has worked at every level of SaaS company from Analyst through VP of FP&A.
Her experience includes VC-backed (Google Capital/Bain Capital/Empactful Capital), PE-backed (Thoma Bravo), and mid-size public (CDLX) and healthcare technology (Catalight) companies.
Working with SaaS and Tech Start-ups is her cozy spot. Through experience she has developed a knack for getting to the key financial levers and building a financial system to understand the business on an on-going basis.
She is a published poet and artist. Her passions include writing, making art, and travel.
Our work / life balance is a coming together of the beauty of art / mystery of life as we take this journey with family, friends, and forecasting partners.
Kevin Hummel
Co-Founder & Small Business Expert
Kevin is an entrepreneur at heart. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 1996 he was a Trader and Financial Engineer for five years. While getting his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2005 he was buying and selling houses between classes.
He got into bookkeeping by necessity in 2003 when he took over for the CFO of the trading firm where he worked. Then in 2012 to keep the books straight for his own business.
Pulling the key metrics out of “The Numbers” and telling the story of the business became a passion. It was all about pulling meaning out of the numbers so he could take action in the business.
Starting Finsysa with his wife was originally a way to overcome the “complications” of being world travelers. Voilà, we built the systems and processes to give our fellow business owners the insights they need to take action in their business.
Our work / life balance is a crazy / fulfilling life-time journey with family, friends, and bookkeeping partners.
